A fundraiser for the independent non-profit CRITICAL EXPLORERS. All funds support Critical Explorers.

ACROSS THE UNITED STATES, laws are being introduced to restrict what educators can teach about race, gender, American history, and other topics.  In light of these developments, please join Critical Explorers and our panelists for an important conversation about questions like these:

What is the effect of such laws on the promise of public education — on the health and well-being of students — on teachers and teacher education — on the fight for equity and justice — on the freedom of speech and expression — on critical thinking and reasoning — and on a democratic society?

What can educators, teacher educators, parents, and citizens do to help protect schools, support teachers, and prepare students to participate in democracy?

How have educators met similar challenges in the past —and what kinds of teaching and learning do our children and society need today?
