This event is being presented jointly by the Northern Arundel Cultural Preservation Society (NACPS) https://www.nacpsibh.com/ and the Friends of Hancock’s Resolution (FOHR) https://www.historichancocksresolution.org/. During this event, we will honor James Spencer, the first African American to purchase land in the 3rd Congressional district of Maryland and founder of Freetown who died on March 25, 1885. The confirmed presenters include: Dianne Feeney, Irving Gaither, Sidney Matthews, Winston Matthews, Michael Simms, and Tony Spencer.
