PRAISE FOR CAMERON GOES TO SCHOOL
"It’s an empowering message from her mother, Houston native Sheletta Brundidge, who wrote the book after her daughter struggled to communicate with peers and said she wanted white skin because girls like her aren’t in storybooks. When a librarian said books featuring black children with autism are practically non-existent, the podcaster, who’s won an Emmy Award for comedy writing, decided to fix that herself."
Suzanne Garofalo, Houston Chronicle
"Children’s picture books almost never get published as quickly as Cameron Goes to School, but those who know Sheletta Brundidge won’t be surprised by the way she got it done. This 48-year-old bundle of energy with a wide smile is so forceful you practically have to hold onto something when she talks so you don’t get blown away."
